Terms of sale
All cakes produced by Bake My Day (BMD) are subject to the following sales conditions. These terms of sale apply to all cakes and other goods sold by BMD, unless otherwise agreed in writing. By ordering from BMD, you accept these terms of sale and accept that these terms of sale may be subject to ongoing changes. However, changes will always appear on our website.
Order confirmation and changes
We recommend that you read your order confirmation carefully and if you want to make changes, please contact min. 7 days before the pick-up / delivery date. Your cake is very important to us, so should you want changes after the 7-day deadline, we will of course do everything we can to meet them. However, please be aware that changes in design details, cake size, pick-up / delivery time, delivery address and the like may not be possible due to busyness. If work on your cake has already begun, BMD reserves the right to increase the price depending on the cost of the changes.
All images included as part of the description of your desired design are for illustrative purposes only. We do not make exact copies of a design. As our products are handmade, including the Last Minute cakes, small differences in colors and designs may occur.
We also recommend that you include all your wishes, e.g. design, taste, decorations, flowers, taste of cream / mousse, the color of the cake or the like before you complete your order. If this is not done, we may, due to time constraints, have to make the decision for you.
We also reserve the right to make changes to the design if there are circumstances that are beyond our control and go beyond the quality of the cake, e.g. weather. Buyer will be notified if changes are needed and we will of course try to keep them to a minimum.
If you do not buy through the webshop, you will receive an invoice before collection / delivery. If you order through the webshop, you pay directly through it. In connection with international orders, however, we require full payment before we accept and start the order. International bookings made online are paid as described above. Once you have made the payment, you accept these terms of sale at the same time.
Cancellation and refund
If your cancellation occurs no later than one month before the pick-up / delivery date, you will receive the full amount refunded, apart from a 250 kroner administration fee. Then, there is a 10% cancellation fee, plus administration fee. If the cancellation occurs less than 7 days before the pick-up / delivery date, there is no possibility of a refund.
Cancellation of webshop cakes must be made no later than 7 days before the pick-up / delivery date to receive a refund of the amount. If cancellation occurs less than 7 days before the pick-up / delivery date, an administration fee of 20% will be charged. It is not possible to cancel webshop cakes with less than 4 days notice.
In the unlikely event that we have to cancel your order, we will of course notify you as soon as possible and take a conversation with you to arrive at the best alternative. If we do not succeed in finding an alternative, we will of course refund the full amount.
Fees for meetings and tastings are non-refundable upon cancellation.
When picking up a cake or other of our products, the buyer accepts that the product matches the ordered in the order. In the event that a third party is responsible for the collection, it is the buyer's responsibility to ensure that the person responsible for the collection is aware of the details and can approve the product. The person should also bring a digital receipt of the order confirmation. If something happens to the cake or product after collection, BMD cannot be held responsible when the cake or product has left the café.
If you are responsible for the transport of the cake, it is important that you place it on a straight and horizontal surface. The responsibility for defects during this transport is imposed on the buyer, as mentioned above.
The cakes and products can be very fragile, so we recommend that you drive very carefully. It is recommended to place the cake on a non-slip surface.
For cakes delivered to a location, e.g. inn or hotel where the event is held, it is the buyer's responsibility to report any damage in writing within 48 hours. In addition, the buyer is also asked to attach photos of the damage in question if the buyer wishes to complain. This must be done within 7 days of delivery.
Please pay close attention to our instructions for storage, serving and transport to ensure that the cake is served to your guests in its absolutely most delicious version. All decorated cakes and sugar decorations are fragile and require care and caution during handling. We are not responsible for damage to the products that takes place after delivery. Cakes and other products (such as sugar decorations) placed outside will apparently react to the temperature. In hot weather or weather with high humidity, there is a high probability of damage to sugar decorations and cakes.
In case of complaints, please send them to email@example.com. Any complaints regarding cake design should be submitted within 7 days of receiving the order with a picture and discription of the mistake.
If the complaint concerns the taste of the cake, please contact us within 48 hours. We may ask you to bring a piece of the cake to our store so that we can investigate where any errors may have occurred.
BMD reserves the right to take pictures of your cake and use them in marketing on social media and other marketing materials, e.g. flyers. The images are only used in connection with the promotion of BMD and for sale purposes. We do not "tag" our customers in the notices unless otherwise agreed.
