Terms of Service / Terms and Conditions
All cakes produced by Bake My Day (BMD) are subject to the following terms and conditions. These terms apply to all products unless otherwise agreed in writing. By placing an order, you accept these terms. BMD reserves the right to update the terms on an ongoing basis, and the latest version will always be available on our website.
Order Confirmation and Changes
We recommend that you carefully review your order confirmation. Any requested changes must be communicated no later than 7 days before collection/delivery.
We will always try to accommodate changes after this deadline, but cannot guarantee it. If production has already begun, BMD reserves the right to charge additional fees depending on the extent of the changes.
All design references are for guidance only. We do not create exact replicas, and variations in color and appearance may occur, as all products are handmade.
We cannot guarantee exact color reproduction for printed elements (e.g., logos), as these are produced on edible sugar paper.
BMD reserves the right to make necessary design adjustments if external factors (e.g., weather conditions) affect the quality.
Payment and Order Confirmation
Orders placed via the webshop are paid at checkout. Orders placed via email are invoiced.
An order is considered binding once the invoice has been issued. Non-payment does not constitute cancellation.
Production will begin as scheduled regardless of whether payment has been received.
For collection: orders will not be released without full payment
For delivery: delivery will not be carried out without full payment
If an order is not collected or received at the agreed time, the right to a refund is forfeited and the full amount will be charged.
In case of non-payment, BMD reserves the right to forward the claim to debt collection.
Cancellation and Refund Policy
Cancellations must be made in writing via email to: orders@bakemydaydk.com
A cancellation is only valid once it has been received in writing. Telephone cancellations are not accepted.
As all of our cakes are made to order, there is no right of withdrawal once production has begun. Cakes cannot be returned or resold, and we therefore do not accept returns.
All orders are binding, as production begins several days prior to pickup/delivery. Once production has started, the right to a refund is forfeited.
When choosing very dark or intense colors (including, for example, dark blue, black, red, or similar shades), please be aware that color transfer may occur on lips, tongue, hands, or similar surfaces, as achieving these shades requires a larger amount of food coloring. This is considered a natural characteristic of intense colors and is therefore not eligible for complaint, compensation, or refund.
Cakes without handmade decorations (up to 30 servings)
(Applies to cakes decorated with buttercream, writing, sprinkles, and similar)

Cakes with handmade decorations / figures, including all cakes over 30 servings
(Applies to cakes with figures, custom decorations, specially sourced ingredients, and other custom productions)

Cancellation more than 14 days before: full refund minus a 250 DKK administration fee

Special Materials and Orders
Any specially purchased materials or custom-made elements for your order are non-refundable in case of cancellation.
Right of Withdrawal and Returns
As all products are made to order, there is no right of withdrawal once production has begun.
Cakes cannot be returned or resold, and we therefore do not accept returns.
Collection
Upon collection, the buyer accepts the product as correctly delivered.
If a third party collects the order, it is the buyer’s responsibility to ensure that the product is approved.
After collection, BMD assumes no responsibility for any damage.
Transport
If you arrange your own transport, it is the buyer’s responsibility to ensure proper handling. Cakes must be transported on a flat surface and handled with care.

Complaints
Upon collection or delivery, it is the customer’s responsibility to ensure that the product matches the order.
Complaints regarding design and appearance must be made at the time of receipt. Once the cake has been collected or delivered and approved, it is considered accepted.
Complaints regarding taste and quality must be reported within 48 hours of receipt.
In the case of complaints regarding taste and quality, the customer must be able to present and return a representative portion of the product for evaluation. This is necessary for us to investigate any potential production issues.
If the product cannot be presented, we reserve the right to reject the complaint.
Images and Marketing
BMD reserves the right to take photos of its products and to reuse or share posts from social media where BMD’s products are featured, for example on Instagram, Facebook, and other platforms.
By placing an order, the customer accepts that BMD may use images of the cakes for marketing purposes, including reposting customer content where the product is clearly shown, as well as in cases where logos, trademarks, or customer-specific designs provided by the customer are included.
The customer is responsible for ensuring they have the necessary rights to use any submitted logos, images, and design materials.
